Mindgruve recently hosted Inc. Magazine for an exclusive event at the new Bay City Brewing Co. location in East Village, San Diego. The renowned publisher regularly convenes its member society, known as Inc. Masters, enabling leaders of the world’s fastest growing companies to share ideas, make critical contacts and create relationships that last a lifetime.
This particular two-hour workshop, titled Money: How to Build a Financial Plan to Fuel Your Fast Growth, was hosted by Ami Kassar. He’s the founder and chief executive of MultiFunding, author of The Growth Dilemma and columnist for Inc.com. Over the course of his career, Ami has helped thousands of business owners and entrepreneurs structure their debt to optimize growth and create jobs.
The attendees, a mix of local entrepreneurs and business leaders, were the first to experience the San Diego brewery’s fully renovated event space. In addition to a tasting room and restaurant on the ground floor, the historic building features a rooftop bar with more than 4,700 square feet of indoor-outdoor space, ample seating, fire pits, a video wall and views of the downtown skyline. All just blocks from Petco Park, the convention center and world-famous Gaslamp District.
The grand opening of Bay City Brewing Co.’s East Village location is scheduled for March 2. Guests will be treated to a rotating menu of fresh specialty pizzas, wings, salads and breadsticks along with 14 taps of craft beer. Private tastings will also be available by reservation.
Founded in 2015 by Greg Anderson and Benjamin Dubois, Bay City Brewing Co. produces a dozen or more beers, including seasonal options. In 2017, the brewery was selected by the San Diego Tourism Authority to produce the city’s first official beer, “72 and Hoppy.” Later that same year, Bay City was named the 28th fastest growing independent craft brewery in the nation by the Brewers Association, a non-profit trade group.
