There are plenty of panels to see this year at the San Diego Comic-Con. And if you’re a DC comic fan, you don’t want to miss anything related to one of the most iconic comic book companies in the world. Just in time for this year’s must-attend event for all comic book fans, DC Entertainment has launched their new mobile Events App to connect fans (both iPhone and Android users) with all DC events at Comic-Con.
With this app, users are able to find the most up-to-date details on every panel put on by DC Entertainment. Users will be able to browse and search for information on talent signings, booth events, off-location parties and events and more. The app allows attendees to build a personalized itinerary to maximize their experience at Comic-Con. Unable to attend a certain panel? The app provides a live-stream of tweets, photos, and videos from the event to make sure users aren’t missing out on the latest DC Entertainment news.
Our team has tested out the app and I’m impressed by the clean and easy-to-navigate design. I can already guess that the photo gallery will be my most-used feature during my downtime at the Con. It accumulates and features a stream of photos tagged by users, providing another’s perspective and a visual guide on what’s going on at the event.
However, with the massive crowd of people attending the Con, service at Comic-Con has been traditionally less than spectacular so I’ll have to wait and see if this app will serve its purpose and actually work in real-time. In the mean time, this mobile app will better connect the brand with the audience and provide a more tuned-in experience for attendees.
