This role will play a key part in shaping how our clients connect with consumers and trade audiences — blending earned media, influencer partnerships, and storytelling to drive awareness and engagement.

We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on communicator who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and brings a deep understanding of the influencer landscape, public relations, and the home improvement/outdoor living category.

We are prioritizing candidates located in or near Covington, KY, as this role is expected to be in-office on a hybrid basis.

What You’ll Do Here

  • Lead Influencer Marketing Strategy: Develop, implement, and optimize influencer marketing programs that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion for a national outdoor living brand.
  • Oversee Campaign Execution: Manage end-to-end influencer activations — from partner identification and vetting to contract negotiation, briefing, content review, and campaign tracking.
  • Integrate with PR and Social: Collaborate with PR, creative, and social teams to align influencer efforts with broader communications strategies, seasonal campaigns, and product launches.
  • Champion Data and Measurement: Establish and maintain a robust reporting framework, leveraging advanced analytics to evaluate campaign performance, calculate ROI, and communicate the business value of influencer partnerships to internal teams and clients.
  • Identify and Manage Talent Relationships: Build long-term relationships with high-performing creators and emerging voices in home, lifestyle, and outdoor living categories.
  • Drive Innovation: Stay current on influencer trends, platform updates, and emerging creator tools to continuously evolve Mindgruve’s influencer practice.
  • Support PR Storytelling: Contribute to the development of integrated earned media and influencer strategies that drive cohesive brand narratives across channels.
  • Mentor Junior Team Members: Provide guidance and support to PR and influencer specialists, fostering professional growth and collaboration.

We Need a Person With

  • 7+ years of experience in influencer marketing, social strategy, or digital PR — preferably in building materials, home improvement, lifestyle, or outdoor living categories.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing influencer programs that deliver measurable business impact.
  • Deep understanding of influencer platforms and tools such as Tagger, Impact, CreatorIQ, or Traackr, as well as reporting tools like Sprout Social, Meltwater, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills — able to translate campaign data into clear insights and ROI narratives for leadership and clients.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate the strategic value of influencer marketing.
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and performance-based compensation models.
  • Creative, proactive thinker who stays ahead of social and influencer trends.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working at or with a PR/advertising agency.
  • Experience working with Fortune 500 companies.
  • Strong understanding of how influencer marketing integrates with public relations, digital marketing and brand strategy.
