Building a successful social media presence takes careful planning, development, and a strong Senior Social Media Strategist who can engage key audiences and make a positive impact on brands’ business initiatives. We are looking for a Senior Social Media Strategist to help build campaigns that capture the essence of a brand, engage consumers, and drive advocacy. They will inspire creative teams, analyze performance, proactively communicate industry and platform trends, and provide recommendations to lead the category in the social space.

Our ideal candidate has vast experience in social media, having managed several handles and grown highly engaged followings, especially on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and Reddit. They have experience in social strategy, building playbooks and content briefs, with proven results in improving content performance over time. They also have a proven track record of working with creative teams to create engaging social content that delivers on brand metrics. This individual must be comfortable leading dialogue with clients, being an ambassador for the team, and translating business goals into sound social initiatives. They’re self-driven, curious, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are always looking for ways to grow themselves and their work.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Build and maintain cohesive social strategies across platforms to achieve high levels of user engagement.
  • Lead quarterly and monthly content brief creation. Lead content brainstorming with social and creative teams, driving social-first content creation and collaboration across departments.
  • Follow social media trends and hashtags that relate to the core interests of the brands we support and their consumers/followers. 
  • Possess a strong understanding of social content and algorithm - of what works and why. Partner with accounts and Social director to grow client’s interest and understanding of organic content through storytelling. 
  • Review and guide the original and high-quality content the social media managers create before publishing across various social media platforms.
  • Create, review, edit and optimize guidelines for social media managers to respond to comments and optimize content and reporting.
  • Review and provide insight into performance analysis prior to delivering and presenting to clients.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly reports on engagement, follower growth, creative performance, and other metrics that tie back to the stated business goals of the brand.
  • Lead the development and execution of influencer campaigns and partnerships to promote brand awareness and create social buzz around key events.
  • Collaborate with the broader Mindgruve agency, acting as a steward for the earned team and a business partner.

We Need a Person With:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a relevant field of study.
  • 5+ years of experience in an agency or for a well-known brand(s).
  • Hands-on experience using social media to build brand awareness.
  • Experience with social copy and content writing.
  • Experience with creating content briefs and social strategies and playbooks. 
  • Experience with social tools, including but not limited to: Facebook Scheduling, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Sprout, etc.
  • Experience identifying trends and insights in social platforms.
  • Experience with social analytics, KPI creation and reporting. 
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Reddit, X, and Pinterest.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule (2 days per week) from one of our U.S. Offices: San Diego, CA, Covington, KY/ Cincinnati, OH, Denver, CO, Nashville, TN or Charleston, SC.
  • Ability to work Eastern or Central Time Zone business hours

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
