Content Strategist.

Mindgruve is seeking an experienced Content Strategist who will be responsible for creating, leading and overseeing the day-to-day marketing content strategy for our clients. Position works closely with team members in every department to develop and produce content that is engaging, persuasive and aligns with the client’s vision and goals. Qualified candidates must have a passion for the written word, solid understanding of customer journeys and an insatiable desire to push boundaries with creative and persuasive content.

What y0u’ll do here:

  • Develop efficient and effective content creation processes and distribution strategies that can be applied across Mindgruve’s multiple clients, then lead the process from start to finish
  • Work closely with all teams to oversee the vision, production, and overarching content strategy for the clients’ needs across all channels (digital advertising, social media, email marketing, web, radio, etc.)
  • Collaborate with designers, SEO specialists, copywriters, video producers, photographers, graphic designers, analysts, and strategists to produce high quality content that is true to each client’s brand and delivers a consistent message
  • Research, source and negotiate with external content creators where applicable (ex: influencers, photographers, etc.)
  • Lead a team of copywriters and editors, proofreaders, and social media specialists
  • Contribute to organic social and influencer marketing campaigns (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) to ensure cohesive messaging 
  • Attend client meetings and assist account directors in presenting content strategy
  • Conduct client research to optimize brand and industry relevant content, value proposition and competitive advantage 
  • Measure success of content strategy through analytics, KPI’s, and other metrics
  • Work to ensure copy/content serves the purpose of promoting the client’s brand image and/or selling their product and/or service, according to the strategic content plan
  • Proofread/edit final content and assist in writing copy as needed 
  • Oversee editorial calendar for social media, press releases, blogs, email, etc. to ensure all deadlines are met, as well as ensure a timely workflow & positive client experience

We need a person with:

  • At least six (6) years of experience in managing content strategy, marketing, communications, publishing and/or other editorial roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in blogging, press-releases, podcast, and videography highly desired
  • Experience influencer marketing strongly preferred 
  • Experience in developing own content ideas, takes initiative, and assumes responsibility
  • Passion for collaboration with strong leadership skills 
  • Proactive with excellent project management, analytical and organizational skills
  • Passion for the written word with an ability and willingness to shape, lead and even write content where needed. 
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver. Able to juggle multiple tasks and client priorities at one time
  • Exceptional creative and persuasive writing skills with ability to develop content for websites, blogs, social channels, email and other channels
  • Solid understanding of customer journeys and the role of SEO, social, email and how content fits into the funnel and each touchpoint. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High proficiency in Mac systems, Pages, Keynote, Google Workspace, and MS Office
  • Content development expertise in major social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
  • Ability to strategize and develop content for a wide range of industries and audience types
  • Ability to tailor content strategy & deliverables to applicable client budgets
