The Vice President, Technology leads the organization's technology strategy, architecture, product ownership, platform operations, and engineering execution. This role will be responsible for overseeing the development, delivery, and governance of technology solutions that support both client-facing initiatives and internal business operations.
This position serves as the senior technology authority for the organization, driving innovation, scalability, security, and operational excellence across web development, cloud infrastructure, AI initiatives, enterprise platforms, and proprietary technology solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical depth, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to align technology investments with business objectives.
What You'll Do Here:
Technology Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute Mindgruve's technology vision, roadmap, and long-term strategy.
- Serve as the organization's senior technology advisor, providing guidance to executive leadership on emerging technologies, architecture decisions, security, and operational scalability.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, cloud technologies, and platform innovation to improve client outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Establish technology governance, standards, and best practices across the organization
- Participate in business development related presentations as needed
- Aide in developing estimates, timelines and scopes of work for potential new business opportunities.
Product Ownership & Platform Management
- Serve as executive product owner for Mindgruve's proprietary and internal technology platforms, including Sightline and other strategic technology assets.
- Define product vision, roadmap priorities, feature development, and lifecycle management in partnership with stakeholders.
- Ensure technology platforms align with business goals, client needs, and market opportunities.
- Drive continuous platform enhancement, adoption, performance optimization, and innovation.
Engineering & Web Development Leadership
- Lead and oversee all web development and software engineering functions.
- Establish development standards, code quality practices, deployment processes, and delivery methodologies.
- Ensure successful execution of client and internal technology projects from concept through launch and ongoing support.
- Promote modern engineering practices, scalability, performance optimization, and secure development principles.
Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Operations
- Maintain executive ownership and governance of Mindgruve's cloud infrastructure environments, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Oversee cloud architecture, security, performance, cost management, and operational reliability.
- Ensure infrastructure supports current business needs while enabling future growth and innovation.
- Drive cloud modernization, automation, monitoring, and disaster recovery strategies.
Enterprise Architecture & Technology Governance
- Define and maintain enterprise technology architecture standards and frameworks.
- Lead technology evaluation, systems integration, and platform selection initiatives.
- Ensure alignment between business requirements, technical solutions, security standards, and long-term architectural goals.
- Establish governance processes for technology investments, development practices, and infrastructure management.
We Need a Person With:
- 12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience with increasing management responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience leading software engineering, web development, and technology operations teams.
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience serving as a product owner or technology leader for enterprise or SaaS platforms.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, systems integration, application development, security, and governance.
- Experience within a digital agency, marketing technology, consulting, or technology services environment.
- Experience leading AI strategy, implementation, and governance programs.
- Familiarity with analytics, MarTech, customer experience, and data platform ecosystems.
- Advanced degree or relevant cloud, architecture, product, or security certifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to handle multiple simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written
- Professional demeanor with the ability to interface with poise and confidence with leadership and clients
- Ability to ensure confidentiality with business matters and employee privacy
Compensation:
Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 annually (Pay range is based on a market reference point and potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, experience and geographic location of the individual candidate. The compensation range reflects base rate only.)
Compensation will be commensurate with experience. We have six office locations in the US: San Diego, California, Los Angeles, California, Covington, Kentucky, Denver, Colorado, Nashville, Tennessee and Charleston, South Carolina. We're seeking local candidates (or those open to relocation) who are able to work collaboratively with us in one of our office's; however, based on business needs and unique job functions, some roles may be eligible for remote work.
