Technical Project Manager.

Mindgruve is seeking a Technical Project Manager who will oversee daily workflow of web and application development, application integration, and product development while translating vision, strategy, and business process into a conceptual solution and implementation plan. This person should possess a strong background in understanding the operational workflow of an integrated agency, managing timelines, budgets and resourcing, and must feel comfortable handling multiple projects at once. Alongside account managers, this position works with clients and other key internal stakeholders to ensure projects are launched on strategy, on time and on budget.

What you’ll do here:

  • Work on website and product development projects with a waterfall approach, as well as manage ongoing projects with an agile approach
  • Develop and manage timelines; defining and tracking tasks, dependencies, priorities and milestones
  • Develop and monitor budgets, establish project plans and processes to avoid and/or resolve scope creep, budget overages or efficiency issues
  • Coordinate with outside vendors as needed
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders, internal teams and other groups to develop and prioritize product strategies and roadmaps
  • Write customer-centric user stories, ranking and prioritizing them within the business requirements document or product backlog
  • Work with team members to develop functional and non-functional requirements while partnering with teams to understand opportunities and limitations of solutions being implemented
  • Be a conduit of communication between design, copy, development, media and analytics departments and provide support to the team in a variety of different capacities
  • Review all project deliverables for quality assurance (QA)
  • In tandem with development teams, develop appropriate planning, prioritization, and release management processes to enable launch of bug fixes and new functionality
  • Articulate a clear vision to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Regularly update internal management with status and budget reports on open projects

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years project management experience in a web/digital team (agency or in-house)
  • Proven track record in managing complex website development projects from conception through completion while working with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of SEO and analytics as it relates to websites
  • Experience in waterfall and Kanban methodologies
  • Strong project management fundamentals including project scoping, risk analysis & mitigation strategies and change management and other related project controls
  • Experience in defining both business and functional level requirements, user stories/use cases, present state and future state process flows
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize your own and others’ work in a deadline-driven atmosphere
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for critical and strategic thinking
  • Experience working with .NET, API implementation, web and mobile testing, and product development preferred
  • Comfortable in a client-facing role
