We’d like to give a huge thank you to everyone who donated to our Mindgruve Gives Back campaign to benefit the San Diego Center for Children. Established in 1887, the San Diego Center for Children is an accredited, non-profit organization that provides behavioral care, therapy and counseling, and special education for children and teens in the San Diego community.

With the donated funds, we were able to gift several backpacks filled with gadgets and goodies to the children at the San Diego Center for Children. Items included art supplies, character activity books, board games, various toys, gift cards, and bigger items such as Apple iPod Shuffles and ear bud headphones!

With gifts and mosaic in hand, we headed to the Center’s “Let’s Make it a Wonderful Life” open house event on December 18th, where we interacted with the children by decorating delicious holiday cookies together and learned more about the invaluable efforts put forth by the Center during a tour of the facilities. Throughout the entire afternoon, we couldn’t help but be moved by the positive attitudes these kids displayed. One particular heartfelt moment included two of the Center’s teens singing a beautiful rendition of “Silent Night” to everyone in attendance.

After having this opportunity, we’re excited to see how else we might be able to help the San Diego Center for Children.

Thanks again to those who donated! Without your support, these gifts would not have been possible. If you missed out on our campaign, the Center accepts donations all year round.
